Coast  |  Coast: Seaside adventures
Summer might be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean
we need to head indoors. This month we find exciting
ways to enjoy the natural world, whatever the season. And
what better place to admire the autumn colours than from a
treehouse nestled in a leafy canopy? Take a look at our feature
on pg 78 to find a tree-top holiday by the coast near you.
Alternatively, get back to nature by taking a trip with an outdoor adventure
company, as our reporter Catherine Mack did on pg 102. By combining
kayaking, coasteering and wild camping Catherine was able to explore
the remote wilderness of Donegal’s northernmost tip.
Once you have developed a thirst for the natural life, it’s hard to return to
an office job, as marine lawyer turned seaweed harvester Rory MacPhee
explains. You can read his inspiring story on pg 68.
Here at coast we feel that our relationship with nature is an essential
part of a happy, healthy life. How do you stay connected with the natural
environment? Tell us about your wild and rugged coastal adventures.
