RAILWAY OF THE MONTH
LAUWERSMEER
As might be expected of a professional railwayman, Robbert Jan de Vries has created an authentically detailed Netherlands HO layout in an area of just 240cm x 60cm.

PLAN OF THE MONTH
SCHAKUMMEN
East Prussia, July 1914: Jim Trotman built a new HO layout exploring an older period which was new to him.

SCALE DRAWINGS
ERSATZDAMPFLOK
Daniel Wells was prompted to develop a model in HOe of the Deutsche Reichsbahn 2-8-2T proposed in the 1950s as a replacement for the Sachsen IVK but never built.

FEATURES

RELICS REVIVED – 2
Emmanuel Nouaillier illustrates more examples of his highly detailed and realistic scenic modelling, creating representative parts of the French urban scene.

SUGAR BEET AND GRAFFITI
Peter Marriott shows how he spent a few hours enhancing a Roco HO Swiss type Eaos bogie open wagon.

FROM THE TIVOLI LAUNDRY TO THE LUCETTE MINE
Gaëlle and Olivier Taniou present French HOe modules constructed to participate in a particular exhibition and subsequently shown in different arrangements.

DETAILING A WEAVER ACF HOPPER
Mike Watson shows how with some basic materials he improved a proprietary American O gauge model.

Wow

Some beautiful pictures to look at and great articles Reviewed 22 January 2023

Continental Modeller

I model in the US. It is extremely interesting to see how Europeans model their trains compared to how we model ours. The model railroads chosen are always stunning examples of compactness and high levels of detailing. Reviewed 25 January 2021
