Diesel&EcoCar Magazine  |  April 2023
After an exceptionally long development period, we finally get behind the wheel of the Ineos Grenadier and test it out in 3.0-litre diesel guise. While it may look like an updated classic Defender, it is in fact all new. Elsewhere we’ve been driving the Lexus RX 450h+, the company’s first plug-in hybrid, and also get behind the wheel of the facelifted Toyota Corolla Hybrid. We were challenged to an economy run in Mazda’s new CX-60 3.3-litre diesel and have put Citroën’s smart new ë-C4 X through its paces.
This month’s twin test sees two siblings battle it out for class honours, with the Genesis GV60 up against the Kia EV9. And the used car buyer’s guide is all about the Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0 TDI, one of our favourite hot hatches. In addition, we introduce new features to our Buying and Selling repertoire and give a fresh look to some of the pages.
In our big news section, we’ve got the first photos of the new Ford Explorer, the mighty Kia EV9, the updated Volkswagen ID.3 and Hyundai’s facelifted baby i10. There’s news of a limited run MINI Electric Convertible and striking pictures of the facelifted Peugeot 508. We also have had a sneak peek at the next-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class interior and have spyshots of the Audi Q6 e-tron, MINI Countryman and Volkswagen Touareg.
