Former DIVA columnist and all-round funny lady Susan Calman’s new book is a candid autobiography and survivor’s guide to modern life on the dark side. Measuring her bouts of depression in box sets and treating therapy like a hobby, she tells DIVA she’s perfectly placed to write about the funny side of being gloomy.
DIVA: You didn’t get to talk much about your feelings as a kid. Do you look back and wonder whether your life might have been different if you had been encouraged to talk about things more?
