Dolls House and Miniature Scene  |  April 2017 (Iss 275)
Let’s have a big cheer for spring, it’s my favourite season. Among many things we celebrate Easter, spring also brings warmer weather and there’s more daylight allowing our gardens to grow. And they’re just two of the themes we’re looking at in this month’s issue.
For fans of polymer clay (and food), we’ll show you how to celebrate Easter in style with a platter of 1/12th scale hot cross buns.
Set on a chopping board with a muslin cloth, they’ve been glazed to perfection and look just like the real thing!
We welcome back to the magazine Caroline of Hummingbird Miniatures, creator of the most amazing and realistic looking miniature food. Caroline shows you how to create lamb cutlets in 1/12th scale, and as a Brit abroad in LA she tells us just how Easter traditions vary between the two countries.
And that’s not all, we show you how to decorate your spring garden with bright bold tulips, make your own Stuart themed chair, fashion a Victorian inspired bonnet and decorate the top table with some gorgeous wedding
favours. Oh, and if that’s not enough, you can add a maypole to your garden scene.
