Virtual reality (VR) has never exactly had the ‘cool’ factor. Something about strapping a screen to your face and clumsily reaching into the abyss around you just seems… uninviting.
But, in Apple’s eyes, that’s all about to change. Despite VR being around for years, with many headsets coming and going, Apple has steadfastly refused to join the party until such time that it can offer a more refined, arguably more desirable, product and truly make an entrance.
The Apple Vision Pro is the culmination of years of development. It’s powerful, sleek and outrageously expensive. But despite its limited release in the US only, the Vision Pro seems to have captured the attention of people like no VR headset before.
