DIY made our dream bathroom a reality
With DIY skills, creative recycling and some nifty online buys, Martha Copinger Sneddon created a timeless washroom with chic copper touches
Feature Annabelle Grundy

Martha was keen to use vibrant colour and she wanted the bathroom to feel clean and fresh. The gorgeous teal tone she chose makes a bold statement and a brilliant backdrop for the white suite and smart, brick-effect tiling

My room...
A bit about me
Hello, I’m Martha Copinger Sneddon. I live with my husband Duncan in a threebedroom Victorian terrace in Sheffield.
Before
My problem bathroom
The bathroom was incredibly dated, with an ugly, dark blue suite, old-fashioned tiling and a cramped, tatty shower cubicle. The floor was covered in horrible worn carpet, and the woodchip wallpaper was damp and mouldy. It wasn’t pleasant!
