Nationalists are confused about Britishness, as we know. We check the box on the form when we have to because we are, legally, British citizens. But in our heart, we’re nothing of the sort. We’re Scots. When we concede to being Brits, we want to add: Temporarily – due to a blip in history. Normal citizenship will be continued shortly.
