The Hill of the Crown
The Hill of the Crown
This photograph was captured by the author looking north from Duncryne, the Hill of the Crown (OS Ref. NS436859) in February 2016. The scene is the world famous “bonnie banks” of Loch Lomond (Scotland’s natural National Park) set in the Earldom of the Lennox, the northern heartland of the ancient Strathclyde Britons. For the purpose of this story I would like you to imagine standing on Duncryne whilst we examine the phenomenal scenery surrounding us.
