Dominik Szoboszlai, Virgil van Dijk and Darwin Nunez are the cover stars of the official matchday programme for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Ipswich Town.

The trio have been captured by celebrated shojo manga artist Ema Toyama in a special illustration produced in association with club partners Kodansha.

Inside, we hear from Van Dijk in his exclusive captain’s column, look at Nunez’s rise in the list of Liverpool’s injury-time goalscorers following his late, late show at Brentford last weekend and put the spotlight on midfielder Szoboszlai and some of the other players to have donned the LFC no8 shirt during the Premier League era.

Elsewhere, centre-back Ibrahima Konate explains why the Reds’ hard work begins now and reflects on his pride at leading France for the first time before Christmas.

Top scorer Mohamed Salah, fresh from netting his 50th European goal for Liverpool in midweek, reflects on how the feeling of creating a goal compares to scoring one and explains why he has never wanted to win the Premier League more than he does now.

We also have head coach Arne Slot’s pre-match thoughts in his exclusive column, the opinions of ex-Reds defender Gary Gillespie, all the latest from the club’s women’s and academy teams and an interview with Reds fan Chris McIntosh, frontman of Liverpool three-piece Haarm.
There is a round-up of the latest match action, a quiz to test your knowledge of attacker Cody Gakpo plus some teasers for younger supporters in Mighty Red’s puzzle page.

We also highlight a piece of memorabilia from a Liverpool v Ipswich clash from October 1980, put the focus on the career of ex-Liverpool and Tractor Boys midfielder John Wark and reflect on the Reds’ European glories of 1978.
