Following the closure of the Seafood Temple in Oban, the building has since been transformed into desk space, begging the question: is this the best office view in town? This was certainly the opinion of Dungallan Studio’s four new inhabitants: Graham MacEachen, architect; Daniel Freytag, designer and co-founder of HeyWow, Lorna Freytag co-founder of HeyWow; and Pauline Clifford, of Pauline Clifford Communications.
Speaking about her new place of work, Pauline said: ‘I would say it has got a calm and tranquil atmosphere in the office, so it is nice.’ Lorna said: ‘It is an inspirational space, inside and out. We don’t feel disconnected from the town. If you look that way, you can see the town and if you look the other way, you are in the middle of nowhere.’ Daniel added: ‘It is a creative studio. We are all doing similar things, albeit different. It works really well. We all help each other out.
What I like about it is everyone knows the Seafood Temple.’ The ‘studio’ was snapped up and leased to Graham, who spotted it on an online classified website. ‘It was advertised on Gumtree.
