OBAN Community Playpark has had to close while it undergoes essential maintenance work, writes David McPhee.
A health and safety officer for Argyll and Bute Council was concerned with some aspects of the park.
Lyndsay Elliot, chairwoman of Friends of Oban Community Playpark, said the park had closed temporarily for two reasons. The first is that there are bits of weed proof membrane sticking out in certain places, which is a potential tripping hazard. However, Argyll and Bute Council is scheduled to repair this today (Thursday).
