IN AN extremely tough and physical game, Mull RFC were defeated 0-27 at Garmony by the unbeaten league leaders Lanark.
Bloodied and beaten but morale remains high with David MacLennan and Sean Black.
In spring-like conditions on a superb playing surface, Mull, after their fine victory last week against Hyndland, surprisingly made a hesitant start and after 10 minutes Lanark scored a deserved try that was converted to make 0-7 to the visitors. They scored again soon after, pushing their score up again and giving the Garmony crowd a performance that befitted a team sitting on top the league. Just before the interval, Lanark made it 0-17 and looked to have the game sewn up.
