Outdoor Photography  |  October 2010
With just a few weeks to go before the final deadline for entering our Outdoor Photographer of the Year competition, it is time to make those last minute image selections and final image adjustments (in moderation of course!) and to upload your entries. We have had a big response so far, with visitors to the OPOTY website coming from more than 100 countries around the world, and from over 440 towns and cities across the UK. Th e interest has been so high that, even though the competition is in its inaugural year, the overall winner title is sure to be one of the most coveted nature and outdoor photography awards around the planet. The great news is that the value of the prize package for the overall winner now stands at well over £2000. It includes some terrific bits of kit and soft ware, including a Gitzo carbon fibre tripod, Adobe Lightroom 3, a Paramo jacket, a dome hide from Wildlife Watching Supplies, a voucher from Park Cameras and a printing voucher from The Darkroom, as well as some unique prizes, such as a one-to-one tuition session with award-winning, regular OP contributor Ross Hoddinott, a voucher for a course with Ocean Capture, and £150 worth of GMC photography books.
