SKY SPORTS had to close its new female-focused TikTok channel, Halo, after just three days following an angry social media storm over its dire content.
References on the “little sister” channel to “hot girl walks”, matcha tea and Barbies were slammed by women’s sport groups and social media users as tone-deaf, sexist and patronising. But even the humiliation of closing the new channel did not deter Sky Sports from claiming to be a knight in shining armour for women’s sport.
