Prachya Pinkaew, the director who brought Tony Jaa’s incredible stunt skills to global attention in 2003’s Ong-Bak, serves as producer for this similar – on the surface, at least – actioner, which serves as a showcase for new martial-arts talent D.Y. It all adds up to a nonsensical narrative saddled with cheap effects, which sadly undermines the otherwise impressive fighting feats on display.
