I wanted to let readers know about my website www.tinamartini.com which was built partly to promote my self-penned song ‘The Trouble with Tina’, and the accompanying video, all of which have been professionally produced. As far as I know, it might be the only pop song directly about the feelings and experiences of being a tgirl - although maybe there are others that just haven’t hit the mainstream. [Ed: if you have one, please let us know!]
This can also be found on my YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UC-NqOG25ExX68PfGNtvTWbw.
It’s more than self-promotion - the song is designed to express the very paradoxical genderfluid feelings we have, as well as the euphoria we experience, and the uncertainties and challenges we face in our lives and relationships - all in a very catchy three and a half minute pop song. The website and YouTube channel include a six-minute interview with me about the reasons behind the video, as well as some of my personal history and experiences. Friends and Followers have been very engaged with this on Facebook, Instagram and Flickr. I have a further three interviews ready to publish that follow on from this first one, and I have also been invited to perform at a major trans event in Melbourne in October. I’m also writing more songs!
