Tilight — the time when the sun lies below the horizon and the surface of the sky is neither completely lit nor completely dark. I always try to take the time to absorb the calmness of this moment and appreciate this beautiful gift that is presented by nature.
There is more to twilight than its splendour of colours that create a kaleidoscope of tones. Have you ever noticed how much colder it can become in the hour after sunrise? The temperature seems to drop a couple of degrees, and yet the sun is shining. This happens because, as the sun heats the land, the warm air is pushed up, allowing the cooler air from the areas ahead to rush in and fill the space. The same happens just after sunset, when the ground rapidly cools on a clear night.
