Nutrition in a nutshell for new vegans

Eva Killeen from the College of Naturopathic Medicine covers all your nutrition essentials

There has never been a better time to go vegan than right now. Collins Dictionary listed ‘Vegan’ as one of their top 10 words for 2018. From high street cafés to gourmet restaurants around the world, you would now be hard pressed to ind an establishment that does not ofer you a vegan option.

While this is deinitely good news, the only thing to look out for is the rise of plantbased processed foods. Processed foods are acceptable on occasion, but just as in a non-vegan diet, it really is best to choose foods and meals that are as natural as possible. In the vegan world this is known as Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB).
