Fly high with Cormorant

Cormorant Books is a well-established Canadian publishing company with high ideals and some notable publications. The editorial team aims to publish ‘the best new literary writers of fiction, literary non-fiction, poetry, and translations of Québécois authors’. It seeks to find ‘a narrative voice of character and distinction,’ and looks for ‘the new author with something to say that’s not been said before’. Cormorant Books also feel a duty in ‘rescuing the out-of-print authors whose reputations have tarnished with age and neglect’. Although not accepting poetry submission this year it does publish two to four poetry titles a year and will be seeking ‘excellent new collections by poets both established and new’ in 2017.
