GOING UNDERGROUND
London’s Jubilee Line extension runs from Green Park to Stratford with 11 stations designed by different architects. I spent a couple of weekends visiting the stations and taking photographs, including this one at Westminster. Tripods aren’t permitted, so I knew I would need a high ISO. To make more of the architecture, I thought an ultra-wide lens would suit. I grabbed a fisheye lens with uncorrected rectilinear distortion. It’s fun to use because straight lines away from the centre of the frame come out curved. I knew using the appropriate lens profile in editing would correct this, so essentially, it becomes an extreme wide-angle lens.
