1 ‘Derwentwater’ by Cal Brown
“This shot was taken from Crow Park in Keswick, on the shore of Derwentwater. The wind started to pick up and rain was beginning to fall, so as my camera equipment wasn’t weather-sealed, I had to make a quick decision about what I wanted to capture. Derwent Island is always a great subject, especially with Cat Bells and other fells in the background.” Taken with a Nikon D5600 and Sigma 17-50mm lens, using an ND1000 filter for the long exposure. Digital Camera says: Using a long exposure of 25 seconds has created a moody atmosphere by contrasting the blurred clouds and smooth water with the still landscape.
