A beautiful, user-friendly watch right from the get go, as you would expect from Apple. It takes no time to set up, and if you’ve already bought into the Apple eco system then this slots right in. The display is crisp, and the brightness is insane: the series 7 looks fantastic both in terms of screen and general aesthetic. What doesn’t make the grade here is battery life: if this is your first Apple watch, it might take a while to get used to the fact that you need to be charging this every night. That aside, it has incredible functionality: you can answer calls with it and respond to messages, and this upgrade has a larger display and faster charging, too. A great smartwatch, with a ludicrous amount of fitness and health apps, but perhaps one for those looking for arm candy with benefits as opposed to rugged multisport functionality.
