While attention will be focused on Their Majesties during Saturday’s ceremony at Westminster Abbey, across London, royal watchers will be playing a game of spot the difference at Madame Tussauds following the unveiling of its latest figure of the Queen Consort.
The world-renowned waxworks museum has updated its statue of Her Majesty (right) and it now stands beside her husband of 19 years (far right), close to her in-laws the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Included in the top-to-toe makeover is a new dress – are-creation of the midnight-blue Anna Valentine gown the Queen Consort wore to a reception at Buckingham Palace last December.
The designer herself, who often works with Her Majesty, created the new gown, which is paired with replicas of the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II and the royal blue sash and star of the Order of the Garter.
