The national governing body are following the same policy as for the 2012 championships which states that track athletes who achieve automatic selection for the Olympics in Rio will not be eligible for the Europeans from July 6-10 unless the performance director, Neil Black, believes European competition would be beneficial for their Rio Olympic preparation.
