Linus Torvalds announced Release Candidate 5 (RC5) of what will become Linux 6.11 very soon now. At this rate, we will be covering the merge window (period of time during which disruptive new features are merged into the kernel) for 6.12 in next month’s issue. That being said, there aren’t looking to be as many big ticket items landing in 6.12 as there were in the previous release.
