“Lisa Robinson called me. I was doing a lot of work with her for Rock Scene. She asked if I could get to Pittsburgh to see Led Zep. I said, ‘Sure, but how do we get to Pittsburgh?’ She told me they had their own plane. They were playing the Three River Stadium, which surprised me – nobody was playing stadiums then. We were flying from Teterboro in New Jersey, just over the river. Somebody suggested we get a shot of the band with the plane. What I like about it is that the band are standing by the engine and the plane is so big, it doesn’t fit in the picture. You can see the name of the band and they look as if they own the plane even though they didn’t.
