Complementary Class E conversion

IN WHAT has been described as a “complementary alternative solution” to traditional freighter conversions, a newly introduced Class E conversion on the Airbus A330-300 would see aircraft loading being undertaken by a conveyor inside the cargo hold instead of by simply loading pallets or containers (pictured).

This freighter solution has been unveiled as a quicker, more costeffective system designed to “bridge the gap” while operators are waiting – often for several years – for full freighter conversion slots.
