The Summer 2010 issue of American Road® magazine embraces space travel as its universal motif. The launch button is pressed with "American Road's Guide to the Galaxy," a huge, humming monolith of a lead feature that aims a moombeam at thirty space-related sites around the US and Canada. Ten of American Road's best writers joined the mission that includes nods to space centers, northern lights, Martian landings, MoonPies and even "Lost in Space" B9 robots.

Joel Arnold pilots the magazine's last orbit over the North Star State, eyeing the sky for meteorites and searching the fields for blooms, in "Star Bright: Minnesota’s Shooting Star Scenic Byway."
