Pupils from Arran High School have teamed up with the Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST) to create a website about Arran’s coast and marine life called Wild Arran Coast.
The blog-style website features articles, short videos and information on a number of topics involving marine wildlife, activities and conservation. It also features a diverse range of interviews with people in the community, from swimmers, walkers, photographers to kayakers and rowing clubs.
Articles cover a broad range of topics, from beach cleaning to dog walking and horse riding and swimming, to a few that focus on specific marine species such as common seals and sea anemone. There are also details about the Arran South Marine Protected Area and the Lamlash No Take Zone, as well as information on photography along with 100 reasons to love the sea which is a series of 15 videos from local figures who describe what their reasons are for appreciating and enjoying the Arran coast.
