BRITISH ATHLETICS has appointed two key medical staff to work with the performance team from London 2017 through to beyond the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Dr Noel Pollock will work as chief medical officer, replacing Dr Rob Chakraverty who left his full-time role with British Athletics after seven years, and Steve Paulding will take over as director of Loughborough’s National Performance Institute (NPI).
Pollock, a former Northern Ireland middle-distance runner, has worked at the national governing body for the past 10 years and has been British Athletics’ team doctor at more than 15 European and World Championships.
