THE AMBITION of Argyll and Bute Council’s SNP group is for a power-sharing administration.
On Monday, the group which has 11 elected councillors, sent formal invitations to Councillor Roddy McCuish, one of the 10 Independents, and Councillor Ellen Morton, leader of the six Liberal Democrats. SNP group leader Sandy Taylor said: ‘The SNP, as the largest political group on the council, is currently engaging others to form a new administration.
‘The former council administration was founded on a strongly bound Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Independent coalition; working to a Tory-led agenda.
