SOME people play better with fewer clubs and Bill Brannigan proved this by using a driver, six iron, pitching wedge and putter to carve his way to a net 62.
Facing strong winds, Brannigan finished four shots clear of runner-up John Brown at last weekend’s Dunaverty four-club competition.
However, the round of the day belonged to Fraser MacBrayne, 14, who used a driver, seven iron, pitching wedge and putter to finish in third place des pite having two triple bogies and double figures at one hole.
