As I write this we are well into June
and already the summer months
seem to be slipping away. However,
we have been making the most of it and
this year’s rally and show season looks
to be shaping up into a real cracker.
In this issue we hope to provide
the usual good mix of the old and
slightly newer. In particular I found
Howard’s buying guide on the MF 420
very interesting; I would wager that
I, like many of you, have passed this
diminutive little tractors by with almost
a second thought. As Howard explains,
they are sure-fire future classics on
account of their parentage being plainly
obvious. A direct descendant of the
135 and 230/240 with a few creature
comforts – what’s not to like?
Elsewhere in the issue our erstwhile
Editor-at-Large, Peter Love has been
busy as always darting around the
country. In particular he has been
enjoying two superb road runs and the
fine image of the V8 MF 1505 on our
cover is straight from Peter’s lens.
