TechSmith’s Camtasia has long been one of our favourite tools for screen recording, but with subscriptions starting at £164 per year, it’s hardly cost effective if you only need to capture a few minutes of footage to share. TechSmith has now launched a free online version that runs entirely in your browser (except Firefox) — so no software installation is required. As long as you have a TechSmith account, you can record unlimited clips of up to five minutes, completely free. Here, we’ll explain how you can use it to record your PC screen.
