Google is tightening its rules on installing apps from outside the Play Store
What is it?
It’s the process of installing apps from independent sources, outside of your device’s official app store. If you use an iPhone or iPad you may not be familiar with this concept, because it’s something Apple flatly refuses to allow. And it’s one of the reasons many users prefer Android, which has always taken a much more open, flexible approach, allowing users to freely install any app they want.
