It’s been a turbulent year for British travellers. At the end of last summer, Ryanair saw thousands of plans shattered as they cancelled up to 50 flights per day across six weeks. In October, low cost airline Monarch went into administration, leaving 110,000 passengers stranded abroad and, in November, an erupting volcano in Bali saw holidaymakers stuck in a potentially very dangerous area. Travel always comes with risks, and for LGBT travellers possibly even more so. Having travel insurance in place can help when things go wrong. But what do you need to look out for?
