THERE’S ONLY one thing I know for certain as a 23-year-old in 2016 and it’s that where I’m heading is completely uncertain.
Being in your twenties today is totally unlike being in your twenties in any decade before, especially when it comes to dating. I know, that’s probably what every 20-whatever-year-old has ever said, but with the life-altering emergence of technology that has gained serious volition since I was a teenager, everything is different.
Gone are the days when I felt the desire to gather my friends, dress myself up (or dress down, as the case may be) and hit up the clubs literally every night they were open in order to meet guys. While it was fun as a teenager in the late Noughties, as I reached my twenties and the Grindr/Tinder generation had evolved, the social element of clubbing had become obsolete. Man, these weird, wacky things known as dating apps are a game changer.
