‘Period leave is ridiculous. In order to be taken seriously in the workplace, women have to be able to manage their physiology. Of course, some will have terrible periods, but if period pain or heaviness is interfering to such an extent you can’t work, you should seek medical help – and 99.9 per cent of the time something can be done.
