SUSE Linux 6.3
We test this long-established German company’s latest distribution effort. Can it hold off the competition?
IN BRIEF
Another of the grandparent distros, SUSE is perhaps mentioned less than others as it’s Germanbased. Because it also focuses on enterprise, it was picked up by Cray for its supercomputers in the early 2000s. It rebranded to OpenSUSE in 2005 and SUSE Linux Enterprise in 2004.
