The HomePod doesn’t have sound steering yet, but second-gen models know where they are and shape their sound accordingly. If you move your HomePod to a different room or a different part of the room, its built-in microphones will detect that, and after a few minutes the HomePod will adjust its sound profile so it’ll sound as good as possible in its new location.
