When will the 4000 series of Ryzen processors arrive? AMD isn’t giving away much, and there’s a lot of conflicting information out there. A recent report from DigiTimes has indicated that Ryzen 4000 may be pushed back as far as 2021, since the 3000 series is still selling like hotcakes and AMD apparently doesn’t feel too threatened by Intel’s Core 10,000-series opposition.

AMD likely still has a good chunk of the market share thanks to Ryzen’s excellent price-per-thread ratio. Sales have been decent, and there’s arguably no need for AMD to bloat the market space by throwing out Ryzen 4000 too hastily. Another six months in R&D could prove beneficial. The existence of upcoming 3000XT processors supports the claim that the Ryzen 3000 life cycle is being extended by AMD due to strong sales.
