2001 “It’s not just the swing,” Newsweek wrote on the heels of Tiger’s third consecutive win at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio. “Woods has become a dominator, a supremely gifted athlete with emotional control and reservoirs of passion that make him the world’s greatest golfer.” Since then, Tiger has fallen from the top—both on and off the course. After breaking an 11-year major tournament drought with his latest comeback win and fifth green jacket at the Masters in April of this year, the question remains: Is he completely out of the woods?
