The next Eilean A’ Cheò ward forum will take place in Portree on the aThernoon of Monday June 25.
Members of the public are invited to go along to hear representatives from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue and local Highland councillors discuss topical issues aThecting the area, followed by a question and answer session.
Chaired by councillor John Finlayson, the forum will start with a question and answer session with Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on local operations. This will be followed by updates from the council’s community services team on the condition and maintenance of roads and public toilets and comfort schemes. The final topic, lead by the council’s development and infrastructure team, will provide an update on statutory planning consultation, roles and responsibilities for community councils. Councillor Finlayson hopes people take up this opportunity. He said: ‘This is a great chance to find out from the council and our partners about priorities and the work taking place across the area. Everyone is welcome.’
