A NEW service to help rural communities in Lochaber tackle housing problems has been launched by the national charity Rural Housing Scotland (RHS).
A newly-appointed development officer for Lochaber, Argyll and Arran will help rural communities address local housing needs and build sustainable rural communities. The officer will help communities quantify housing need and develop practical solutions.
Cameron Anson, the new development officer, said: ‘There’s not enough affordable housing is an all too common comment heard throughout rural Scotland. It’s heard regularly where I live on Mull and in many more communities. Taking on this development officer role is a hugely exciting opportunity to work with rural communities throughout the west coast.’
