The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway has been awarded a £231,600 grant to help it through the Covid-19 pandemic, one of more than 30 railways helped with grants. Ex-LMS ‘4F’ 0-6-0 No. 43924 runs alongside Bridgehouse Beck, between Haworth and Oxenhope, with a mixed train during a photographic charter on October 12.

MORE than 30 heritage railways and museums have been given a financial lifeline with grants totalling more than £11million from the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund.
More than 440 organisations in all areas of culture have benefited from the fund, which is designed to secure the future of Britain’s museums, galleries, theatres, independent cinemas, heritage sites and music venues with the provision of emergency grants and loans.
