PHIL MARSH
An aerial view on June 14 looking north-east over the extensive works taking place around Calvert, Buckinghamshire, at the site where East West Rail will cross over HS2. Running diagonally from top left to bottom right is the route of HS2, which follows the alignment of the former Great Central Main Line at this point. East West Rail runs left to right across the centre of the photo, and on the right can be seen the start of a new east-to-south ‘Claydon Curve’. Also visible on the north side of the EWR route is the site of HS2’s Calvert Infrastructure Maintenance Depot.
