Rugby League World Magazine 512 Vorige editie

In the latest issue of Rugby League World we talk to Brad Arthur about his decision to commit to staying on as head coach of Leeds Rhinos.
We hear from Ryan Matterson who has joined Warrington Wolves with the aim of helping them towards the Super League playoffs and possibly sticking around in England even longer.
John Kear has seen it all in rugby league and as he returns to coach Batley he is unphased about the latest significant upheavals occurring in the sport and remains optimistic about its future.

England international Paige Travis recently made history as the first woman from her former club St Helens to play in the NRLW competition. She tells us about the experience of swapping Saints for Sydney.

Our time machine travels back to the 1960s when rugby league discovered some future stars of the game on the running track rather than the rugby pitch.

We pick six players not named in the initial 32-man England squad that could yet find themselves involved in the clashes for the Ashes later this year.

We chat to Reece Briers, the son of a rugby league legend who is enjoying his time at Swinton Lions but always with one eye on following in his father’s footsteps to a full-time playing career in Super League.

Keli and Leah Morris made a little bit of history in June this year when they became the first mother and daughter to play alongside each other in the Women’s Super League. They talk to us about their achievement.

We profile Zac Schumacher who starred for Queensland in their latest Wheelchair State Challenge victory over NSW and who is now looking forward to taking on the world champions when England head down under later this year.

Amy Bird, daughter of Super League stalwart Deon, switched codes to play women’s rugby league in Australia and hasn’t looked back since. She tells us why she believes league is the right choice for her.

All this plus our regular international coverage.
