This week, we report on the joint community efforts to plant trees across Hornsea - with dozens planted across the town by various community groups, supported by Humber Forest.

We feature this summer's Blue Light Weekend in Withernsea - which will feature a free Tier 2 airshow including the RAF Typhoon display team and many more amazing attractions, as well as the presentation of a cheque for £1,000 to Hornsea Inshore Rescue as part of the proceeds from last year's Blue Light event, which raises money for local emergency and life-saving services.

Plus - Holderness Academy receives Rainbow Flag status for inclusivity, the Beggar's Folk Music Foundation's first folk opera is hailed a huge success, and we chat to comic book artist Gareth Sleightholme on his quest to recreate the lost town of Ravenser Odd. We talk to the Withernsea High School stalwart who is bringing down the curtain on a 50-year association with the school - and, in another great read, Angus Young delves into the fascinating history of the "decoy docks" that were set up in South Holderness to deceive the Luftwaffe in the Second World War.
