When psychotherapist and trainer, Michelle Dadachanji’s partner proposed to her with a doughnut, she knew their wedding was going to be unconventional. After turning vegetarian in 2015, Michelle took the Vegan Society’s one-month pledge in February 2016 and transitioned to veganism that November. “In the beginning we were sure of just one thing for our wedding — vegan food only,” says Michelle. “However, the more we planned the more we realised how our passion for veganism (and waste reduction) extended far beyond just what we were going to eat.”
